About Transfer Valve Seals

Transfer Valve Seals are special seals used to seal and control the flow of fluids (such as gases or liquids) through pipes or devices. They are often found in valves, pumps, and other hydraulic or pneumatic systems to ensure that fluids do not leak when passing through the sealing point.

Transfer Valve Seals

Caractéristiques

■ High-pressure sealing: Transfer valve seals can provide excellent sealing in high-pressure environments and can withstand pressures of thousands of psi. This makes them suitable for a variety of high-pressure fluid systems, such as oil fields, chemical plants, etc.

■ High/low-temperature performance: High-quality transfer valve seal can maintain stability and sealing over a wide temperature range (from -50°C to over 300°C), suitable for extreme temperature environments.

■ Chemical resistance: Transfer valve seals made of different materials can resist a variety of corrosive chemicals, such as acids, alkalis, solvents, etc., ensuring that the seal is not corroded by chemicals.

■ Complex geometry: The design of a transfer valve seal can be very complex, with various shapes and structures to suit different types of valves and fluid systems. This requires precision manufacturing processes.

■ Long product life: High-quality valve seals can provide many years of service life and maintain good sealing performance even under harsh conditions. This helps reduce system maintenance costs.

■ Reusability: Some transfer valve seals are designed to be disassembled and reassembled, and can be reused many times before reaching the end of their service life.

Material Application

Transfer Valve Seals usually use the following main materials:

Rubber Material:

  • Nitrile Rubber (NBR): Good oil resistance and chemical resistance, widely used in automobile, petrochemical and other fields.
  • Fluorocarbon Rubber (FKM): Excellent high temperature resistance, chemical resistance and aging resistance, used for various industrial pipeline seals.
  • Silicone Rubber (VMQ): Wide temperature range (-60°C to 260°C), used for high hygiene standard applications such as food and medicine.

Polytétrafluoroéthylène (PTFE) :

  • It has excellent chemical stability, high temperature resistance and self-lubrication. It is used for valve and pipeline seals in chemical, electric power, petroleum and other industries.
  • It can be compounded with fillers, such as glass fiber and carbon fiber reinforced PTFE to improve strength and wear resistance.

Composite materials:

  • PEEK (polyetheretherketone): Excellent mechanical properties and chemical resistance, widely used in fluid system seals.
  • Carbon fiber reinforced PEEK: Further improve strength and wear resistance.

The selection of suitable sealing materials needs to consider the specific working environment, medium properties, temperature and pressure, etc. Some special applications may also require the use of special coatings or composite materials to meet performance requirements.

Conditions de travail applicables

Transfer Valve Seals are widely used in fluid pipelines and devices in various industrial fields, mainly suitable for the following working conditions:

High temperature environment:
Petrochemical plants, power plants and other high temperature processes.
Can withstand temperatures above 200°C or even 300°C.

High pressure conditions:
Oil and gas pipelines, hydropower stations, industrial pipelines and other high pressure pipelines.
Can withstand pressures of thousands of psi or even tens of thousands of psi.

Corrosive environment:
Chemical plants, paper mills, electroplating workshops and other places contain corrosive media.
Can resist corrosion by chemicals such as acids, alkalis and solvents.

Special application scenarios:
Aerospace, defense and military industries and other fields with extremely high requirements for sealing performance.
Sanitary applications such as food and pharmaceuticals require materials to meet FDA standards.

Extreme environment:
Harsh environments such as offshore oil platforms and low-temperature refrigeration equipment.
Can adapt to temperatures ranging from -50°C to 300°C.

Transfer Valve Seals play a key role in sealing and leak prevention in many industrial fields such as petrochemical, electric power, aerospace, food and medicine due to their excellent sealing, high temperature resistance, pressure resistance and chemical resistance.
