O-ring is a kind of rubber sealing ring with a circular cross-section, because its cross-section is O-shaped, so it is called O-type rubber sealing ring, also called O-ring.

1.  NBR nitrile rubber O-ring seal

It is suitable for petroleum hydraulic oil, glycol hydraulic oil, diester lubricating oil, gasoline, water, silicone grease, silicone oil and other media. It is the most versatile and low-cost rubber seal available. Not suitable for use in polar solvents such as ketones, ozone, nitrohydrocarbons, MEK and chloroform. The general operating temperature range is -40~120 °C.

2.  HNBR hydrogenated nitrile rubber seal

It has excellent corrosion resistance, tear resistance and compression deformation resistance, and has good ozone resistance, sunlight resistance and weather resistance. Better abrasion resistance than nitrile rubber O-ring. Suitable for washing machines, automotive engine systems and refrigeration systems using the new environmentally friendly refrigerant R134a. It is not recommended for use in alcohols, esters or aromatic solutions. The general operating temperature range is -40~150 °C.

3.  SIL silicone rubber seals

It has excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, ozone resistance and atmospheric aging resistance. It has good insulation properties. However, the tensile strength is worse than that of general rubber and does not have oil resistance. Suitable for household appliances such as electric water heaters, electric irons, microwave ovens, etc. It is also suitable for all kinds of supplies that come into contact with the human body, such as kettles, water dispensers, etc. It is not recommended for use in most concentrated solvents, oils, concentrated acids and sodium hydroxide. The general operating temperature range is -55~250 °C.

  4. VITON fluorine rubber seals

High temperature resistance is better than silicone rubber, has excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance and chemical resistance, cold resistance is poor. It is resistant to most oils and solvents, especially acids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons and animal and vegetable oils. Suitable for sealing needs in diesel engines, fuel systems and chemical plants. Not recommended for ketones, low molecular weight esters and nitrogen-containing mixtures. The general operating temperature range is -20~250 °C.

5.  FLS fluorosilicone seals

Its performance has the advantages of fluorine rubber and silicone rubber, and it has good oil resistance, solvent resistance, fuel oil resistance and high and low temperature resistance. It can resist the attack of oxygen-containing compounds, aromatic hydrocarbon-containing solvents and chlorine-containing solvents. Generally used in aviation, aerospace and military purposes. Rubber foam coil manufacturers do not recommend exposure to ketones and brake fluid. The general operating temperature range is -50~200 °C.

6.  EPDM rubber seals

It has good weather resistance, ozone resistance, water resistance and chemical resistance. It can be used for alcohols and ketones, and can also be used for sealing in high-temperature water vapor environments. Suitable for sanitary equipment, automotive radiators and automotive brake systems. Not recommended for food use or exposure to mineral oil. The general operating temperature range is -55~150 °C.

7.  CR neoprene seals

The sun resistance and weather resistance are particularly good. It is not afraid of refrigerants such as dichlorodifluoromethane and ammonia, and is resistant to dilute acid and silicone grease lubricating oil, but has a large amount of expansion in mineral oil with low aniline point. It is easy to crystallize and harden at low temperatures. It is suitable for all kinds of environments exposed to atmosphere, sunlight, ozone and various flame-resistant and chemical-resistant sealing links. It is not recommended for use in chemicals such as strong acids, nitrohydrocarbons, esters, chloroform and ketones. The general operating temperature range is -55~120 °C.

8.  IIR butyl rubber seals

The air tightness is particularly good, the heat resistance, sunlight resistance, ozone resistance is good, and the insulation performance is good; It has good resistance to polar solvents such as alcohols, ketones, esters, etc., and can be exposed to animal and vegetable oils or oxides. Suitable for chemical resistant or vacuum equipment. Not recommended for simultaneous use with petroleum solvents, kerosene or aromatics. The general operating temperature range is -50~110 °C.

9.   ACM acrylic rubber seals

It has excellent resistance to oil, high temperature resistance and weather resistance, but mechanical strength, compression set rate and water resistance are slightly worse. It is generally used in automobile transmission system and power steering system. Not suitable for hot water, brake fluid, phosphate ester. The general operating temperature range is -25~170 °C.

10. NR natural rubber seals

Rubber products have good wear resistance, elasticity, tearing strength and elongation. However, it is easy to age in the air, becomes viscous when heated, easy to expand and dissolve in mineral oil or gasoline, and is resistant to alkali but not strong acid. It is suitable for use in automotive brake fluid, ethanol and other liquids with hydroxide ions. The general operating temperature range is -20~100 °C.

11.  PU polyurethane rubber seal

The mechanical properties of polyurethane rubber are very good, and the wear resistance and high pressure resistance are far better than other rubbers. Aging resistance, ozone resistance, oil resistance is also quite good, but high temperature is easy to hydrolyze. Generally used in high-pressure, wear-resistant sealing links, such as hydraulic cylinders. The general operating temperature range is -45~90 °C.

12.  Metal-rubber seals

Made of stainless steel wire, does not contain any rubber components, has strong use characteristics. For example: maintain normal operation in high vacuum, high and low temperature, strong radiation, and various corrosion environments. The sealing ring skin is made of different materials such as stainless steel, copper, polytetrafluoroethylene and other materials according to different uses, and the coated metal rubber components are used as the lining core, which has the advantages of high sealing strength, good effect and reusability. The sealing ring core is a component made of different wire diameters and densities, which is suitable for different pressure occasions. The general use range is -80~800 °C. This kind of sealing ring is more expensive due to its high cost. But good performance, wide use environment, have been unanimously recognized.
