Products  AEM flange gaskets Description

AEM flange gaskets

AEM (Acrylic Ester Elastomer) flange gasket is a special gasket material, which is an acrylic elastomer. AEM flange gaskets are widely used in the industrial field to connect pipes, containers and equipment to achieve sealing effects.

AEM flange gasket characteristics

  • Chemical resistance: AEM flange gaskets have good chemical resistance and can resist the erosion of various chemical media, including acids, alkalis, solvents, etc.
  • Temperature resistance: AEM flange gasket has high temperature resistance and can maintain stable performance in high temperature environments. Typically withstands temperatures ranging from -30°C to 150°C.
  • Oil resistance: AEM flange gasket has good oil resistance and can maintain good sealing effect in oily media such as lubricating oil and fuel.
  • Elasticity and resilience: AEM flange gaskets have high elasticity and resilience, which can maintain good sealing performance under pressure and ensure reliable sealing of the connection.
  • Anti-aging: AEM flange gasket has good anti-aging properties and can maintain its physical properties and sealing effect for a long time.

AEM flange gaskets are usually used in some special industrial applications, such as chemical, petroleum, natural gas, automotive and other fields. They are designed to seal demanding pipe and equipment connections to ensure safe transmission of media and normal operation of the system.

Products AEM flange gaskets Application

The application of AEM flange gaskets in pipeline systems mainly includes the following aspects

  • Flange connection sealing: AEM flange gaskets can be used to seal flange connections, including connections between pipes and pipes and between pipes and equipment. They are placed between the flanges, and the two connecting parts are tightly pressed together through the tightening of the flanges to achieve a sealing effect.
  • Valve sealing: Valves in pipeline systems also need to be sealed to control the flow of media. AEM flange gaskets can be used to seal valves to ensure that there is no leakage when the valve is closed.
  • Throttle device seal: Throttle devices may be used in some piping systems to control the flow rate or pressure of the medium. AEM flange gaskets can be used to seal throttling devices to prevent media leakage or leakage.
  • Flare joint sealing: In pipeline systems, it is sometimes necessary to use flare joints to connect pipes to accommodate pipe connections of different diameters. AEM flange gaskets can be used to seal flared joints to ensure the sealing performance of the joint.

In valve sealing, AEM flange gaskets are typically used in the following locations

  • Bonnet seal: The bonnet is one of the key components of the valve, connecting the valve body and valve stem. The AEM flange gasket is placed between the valve cover and the valve body, and is pressed tightly through the fastening of the flange to ensure the seal between the valve cover and the valve body.
  • Valve seat seal: The valve seat is the channel through which the medium in the valve flows, and its sealing performance directly affects the sealing effect of the valve. AEM flange gaskets can be used to seal the valve seat to ensure that the medium does not leak when the valve is closed.
  • Valve stem seal: The valve stem is a component used to control the opening and closing of the valve and needs to maintain good sealing performance during movement. AEM flange gaskets can be used to seal the valve stem to ensure that the connection between the valve stem and the valve will not leak.
  • Using AEM flange gasket as valve sealing material has the following advantages:
  • Chemical resistance: AEM flange gasket has good corrosion resistance and can resist the erosion of various chemical media and maintain the stability of sealing performance.
  • Temperature resistance: AEM flange gasket has high temperature resistance and can maintain a stable sealing effect in high temperature environments.
  • Elasticity and resilience: AEM flange gaskets have good elasticity and resilience and can maintain good sealing performance during valve operation.
  • Anti-aging: AEM flange gasket has good anti-aging properties and can maintain its physical properties and sealing effect for a long time.
  • Using AEM flange gaskets as valve sealing materials can ensure the reliability, safety and efficiency of the valve, prevent media leakage and seepage, thereby protecting the normal operation of the pipeline system.

In throttling device sealing, the application of AEM flange gaskets mainly involves the following aspects

  • Throttle valve seal: The throttle valve is a device used to control the flow of media. It changes the flow rate of the medium in the pipeline by adjusting the valve opening. AEM flange gaskets can be used to seal throttle valves to ensure that there will be no leakage when the valve is closed and to provide good sealing performance when the valve is open.
  • Orifice plate seal: Orifice plate is a common throttling device that adjusts flow rate or pressure by setting an orifice plate of a specific shape on the pipeline. AEM flange gaskets can be used to seal the orifice plate to ensure that there will be no leakage at the connection between the orifice plate and the pipe.
  • Nozzle seal: The nozzle is a device used to inject the medium. The flow rate and injection effect of the medium are controlled by adjusting the structure and opening area of the nozzle. AEM flange gaskets can be used to seal the nozzle to ensure that the connection between the nozzle and the pipe will not leak.
  • AEM flange gaskets can be used to seal flared joints to ensure the sealing performance of the flared joint connection. A flare joint is a device used to connect pipes of different diameters. It expands the diameter of the pipe to accommodate the connection needs. In flare joint sealing, the applications of AEM flange gaskets mainly include the following aspects
  • Sealing of the connection between the flare joint and the pipe: AEM flange gasket is usually placed at the connection between the flare joint and the pipe, and is tightly pressed by the fastening of the flange to ensure the sealing performance of the connection.

Internal sealing of flare joints: Flare joints also need to be sealed internally to prevent media leakage or leakage. AEM flange gaskets can be used to seal the inside of flared joints to ensure normal flow of media in the pipeline system without leakage.
