Features of FVMQ O-ring

FVMQ is a kind of silicone rubber with side chain introduction of fluoroalkyl. The commonly used FVMQ is fluoro-silicone rubber containing methyl, trifluoropropyl and vinyl.

FVMQ O-ring has good heat resistance and excellent oil and solvent resistance, such as aliphatic hydrocarbon, aromatic hydrocarbon, chlorinated hydrocarbon, petroleum-based fuel oil, lubricating oil, hydraulic oil and some synthetic oil at room temperature and high temperature stability is good, which is not simple silicone rubber.

FVMQ O-ring has good low temperature performance, which is a great improvement for simple fluoroprene. Fluorosilicone rubber containing trifluoropropyl maintains an elastic temperature range of -50 ° C to +200 ° C, has poor high and low temperature resistance than vinyl silicone rubber, and will produce toxic gases when heated to more than 300 ° C. In terms of electrical insulation properties than vinyl silicone rubber is much worse. Adding appropriate amount of low viscosity hydroxy fluorosilicone oil to FVMQ compound, heat treating the compound, and adding a small amount of vinyl silicone rubber can significantly improve the process performance, which is conducive to solving the problems of adhesive roll and serious storage structure of the compound, and can extend the effective service life of the compound. 1. Oil, solvent and chemical resistance

Compared with silicone rubber, fluorine silicone rubber has excellent oil resistance, solvent resistance and chemical resistance. Compared with fluorine rubber, oil resistance and solvent resistance are also good.

2. Heat resistance

The high-temperature decomposition of fluorine silicone rubber is the same as that of silicone rubber, that is, side chain oxidation, main chain fracture, side chain thermal decomposition and causing various composite reactions.

3. Cold tolerance

Fluorosilicone rubber, like ordinary silicone rubber, has good low temperature performance, and the brittle temperature is as low as -89 ° C, while the general fluororubber is about -30 ° C.

4. Electrical performance, radiation resistance

The electrical properties of fluorosilicone rubber are similar to those of ordinary silicone rubber, but the special value is that the changes under harsh conditions such as high temperature, low temperature, humidity, oil, solvents, chemicals, and ozone are very small. The radiation resistance of fluorosilicone rubber is not outstanding, but the radiation aging resistance is better than that of methyl vinyl silicone rubber.
