About HNBR Sealing Ring

HNBR sealing ring refers to a sealing ring made of hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber. It has oil resistance and aging resistance at high temperatures, and its tensile strength can generally reach 30MPa, which is higher than FKM, NBR and other rubbers. It also has resistance to chemical media and ozone. It can withstand acids, alkali and salt at high temperatures, and can withstand strong Works in lubricants and fuel oil media with corrosive additives.

Introduction

Hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR) is a highly saturated special elastomer formed by hydrogenating nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR). Compared with NBE, the molecular structure of HNBR contains a small amount or no carbon-carbon double bonds. While maintaining oil and wear resistance, it also has better resistance to thermal oxygen aging, can work at 150C° for a long time, is resistant to ozone, It is resistant to radiation, chemical media (very good resistance to vulcanization) and good dynamic properties. It is a special rubber with excellent comprehensive properties and is a national strategic material.

Advantages

HNBR sealing ring have oil resistance and aging resistance at high temperatures: After hydrogenation treatment, the heat resistance and hot air aging resistance of nitrile rubber are greatly improved. Compared with HNBR, chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSM) and chloroprene rubber (CR), nitrile rubber (NBR), chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSM) and chloroprene rubber (CR) are obviously not suitable for high temperature (150 ℃), and HNBR vulcanized rubber shows excellent oil resistance and aging resistance.

HNBR sealing ring is a sealing product made of hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HBNR) as the main raw material. It has the following characteristics:

1. It is less corrosive and can be used to transport pipelines containing acid, alkali and salt media.

2. High temperature resistance, the operating temperature can reach 150°C.

3. Resistant to ozone and sequential aging, with long service life.

4. Good mechanical strength and crack resistance.

5. Good low temperature performance, can be used up to -40°C.

6. Excellent sealing performance and low leakage rate.

7. Good chemical stability and media compatibility.

8. Resistant to corrosion and swelling of petroleum products.

Application Scope

HNBR sealing ring is widely used in aerospace, automotive, oilfield drilling, petrochemical, textile and printing industries. They are mainly used in automotive fuel system parts, automotive transmission belts, drilling protective covers, oil well packer rubber sheets, and ultra-deep wells. Submersible oil pump cable sheaths, blowout preventers, stator motors for directional oil production, supporting hoses for offshore oil drilling platforms, aerospace seals, tank track liners, foam shock-absorbing materials, various rubber seals for the nuclear industry, Hydraulic pipes, air-conditioning sealing products, rubber rollers for printing and textiles, etc.

In addition to the above uses, HNBR sealing ring can also be used as fenders, vibration-absorbing materials, cables, etc. HNBR latex can be used as surface coatings, adhesives for paper, leather, ceramics and fibers, foam rubber and impregnated latex products.

Certification Standards

1. ASTM D2000: It is a specification developed by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), which provides a classification system for rubber products including HNBR sealing ring. Identify various properties and requirements such as HNBR’s hardness, tensile strength, elongation, and resistance to heat, oil, and chemicals.

2. ISO 1629: It is an international standard that provides a classification and naming system for rubber materials. HNBR is an NBR/PVC designation that indicates its composition and properties.

3. ISO 9001: It is a widely recognized quality management system standard and is applicable to various industries. The manufacturing of HNBR sealing ring materials is ISO 9001 certified.

4. OEM specifications: Original equipment manufacturers in industries such as automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, etc. often have their own specific requirements for HNBR materials. These specifications outline the required characteristics, performance standards and test methods for HNBR used in their applications.
